Trooper Clark Kent Simpson was an Arkansas State Police officer who tragically died on February 18, 1989, when his patrol car was struck from behind by a tractor-trailer on Interstate 40 while he was completing a traffic stop. Simpson had only served with the Arkansas Highway Patrol for seven months before his death. |
