omg I feel like a dumbass I'm so sorry. no idea how I read that the way I did, I've been going months on the assumption based on that reading that jump uses str

Gaelic Gladiacres
from the guide: Dressage horses should aim to be strong in Intelligence, Movement, and Strength. Cross Country horses should aim to be strong in Heart, Strength, and Speed. Jumpers should aim to be strong in Heart, Scope, and Speed.

-HEE Click- Jumping is most definitely Hrt, Scp and Spd But okay thank you
Gaelic Gladiacres
yep! it gets really funky for some horses where they have more than one training weakness, or the strengths aren't matched to one discipline, so if mv, str, and hrt up one week I still have to wait another for int and spd to catch up lol
Painted Perfection
Okay so Ive been doing it right then by waiting to enter horses. If they have 2 or more bars for their levels in each trait respectively
Gaelic Gladiacres
jumping is not heart scope speed. show jump is scp/spd/str. xc is hrt/spd/str. I would wait for all bars to be level in the respective color to start for profit max. sometimes if they look close I'll pop 'em in one show just to get a gauge of where they are, and if they're 9th or 10th they can probably go the following week (especially for E or W), 11-12 needs another 2 weeks probably
Gaelic Gladiacres
P horses will typically take 5-6 weeks at least after having leveled to be in the money, I've noticed. I might have that number a little off, but for say E and W they may take as little as 3-4 weeks to be ready to show again (if the training is there)

The mare I posted I was asking for her Jumping. Hrt, scp, spd she has 1 bar in each for the fifth colour. Shes level 5 in jumping. Would she be ready or do you wait for all the bars in that color (x2 in each of those three traits) for her to be ready to be entered
Gaelic Gladiacres
that mare is almost certainly not ready for jump, unfortunately. she would definitely need one more slice in each of scp/spd/str
Gaelic Gladiacres
luna - to go in jump or xc? xc is hrt/spd/str, jump is scp/spd/str
Gaelic Gladiacres
luna - ah! most of the time, no. if you have an AD horse at C level 2 that has say 3/3/4 in those traits, they're not likely to be ready. but if they have say 4/5/5 in J, they may be able to do level 2 C even with 3 in heart because the stronger spd and strength compensate for the weaker heart. if that makes sense?
Painted Perfection
-HEE Click- So she has 1 bar in jumping for each trait. Would she be ready or wait for her to get two in each trait for jumping ( Hrt, Scp, Spd)

Sorry, Im not that great at explaining through words. Im better at showing with pictures but its too much to do for chat
