| zrek - yeah, certain fields it's pretty much essential. but if you're not even sure what general realm of work you want to do, college has the plus of giving you exposure to a bunch of different fields, but the downside of costing you a fortune--although local community colleges that have agreements with larger universities to accept the credits you earn there toward another school's degree mean you can probably save a good bit of money |

| Gladius - going back to the 1:1 degree connection you were talking about. What about fields that are 1:1 for example dental hygiene? I feel like there’s this weird in between of where some careers it still exists and others it doesn’t. And that we’re in a strange time right now where having a degree seems to be better than not having one, but also doesn’t guarantee you a job anymore. |
