holy shit lmao

its pretty scary, its like a worse case scenario when foaling, Id rather deal with 100 other issues than a red bag, the bag is so tough to that usually you have to cut it off the foals head with a knife if you do manage to get it out in time

god forbid she lets her mini hostage go so she isnt miserable anymore and everyone is happy
Morning Glory Farms
Green its when the placenta is delivered before the foal and so basically the foal isnt getting any oxygen or anything from the mare anymore so its really really important that you get involved and get the foal out ASAP, if you arent there when it happens its pretty much guaranteed that you lose the foal and possibly the mare as well

nopeeeee shes being a hag and Im mad at her and Dani both
Morning Glory Farms
Also we have only had one red bag in all the years that Ive been working here and I never wanna do that again it was awful, we wound up losing ours to Capp so I feel for you, he seemed to do ok and then day 3 on poor Shirleys birthday we wound up having him put down because he just gave up trying

I work for a breeder, we raise performance horses, theyre more geared towards Barrels, but they also excel with cows, ranch, roping ect
PaulienQ
Nice Dino! What's the story with all that breeding? Do you have a breeding stable or just for yourself?
Cappuccino
What a cutie!!! *.* Yeah both (maiden) mares this year here had issues, mine obv - red bag and the other the foals head was in the wrong place and had to be manually adjusted. Mare ended with a huge vaginal hematoma
