Oh..! Thank you :) I was fairly confused when I saw it!

Also sorry, another silly question. Is shiny another rare coat thing like brindle & chimmy?
BlackRose
I use to breed for fun now I just breed for quests and get the same amount of foals xD
Santana Rising
I had the 'breed a P silver +Ch foal' and 'breed a PPP ChCh foal'. I think I had the ZZ one too, but not sure. Luckily my AAs are prepared!

My accountant was on cruise and I had to flirt with him for a quest, and now he's not on cruise anymore🥲 i feel bad lol

Min, that’s actually a good idea. Thank you both so much! You’ve both helped a lot and with good information! Thank you both Min & San

Ah, I see! The colour descriptions do help, but gene testing certainly uncovers any double or hidden genes. But it's pricey too and sometimes we can't be bothered unless we are already suspecting (hoping for) hidden genes

Yep basically what San said. If you have a black, bay or brown horse that doesn't say silver then it doesn't have silver. The silver will show up in the name of any dun/champagne etc that goes on top of a black/bay/brown base as well. You don't have to physically check each foal to complete the quest- if it's homozygous it'll just pop up as completed when breeding. I usually throw my Zzs together and use those quests as free gene tests xD
BlackRose
Oh no no I know I was just using my horse as an example as I thought the way I worded everything came across really confusing so I tried to give an example of what I meant! Sorry!
Santana Rising
The brown splash white definitely has no silver and cannot help you with a homo silver quest, the silver one could, but if it's a hetero silver bred to another hetero silver the chance of getting a ZZ is 25%
BlackRose
Thank you so much! I’ve just been using horses (in the past) with the letters in their colour margin of their info page and I wasn’t sure if I was doing it wrong or not!
Santana Rising
If it says 'silver' in the name it could be Zz or ZZ. If it is not gene tested and one of the parents isn't silver you can be certain that it is not ZZ (however, keep in mind that red based horses hide silver - so even an ordinary chestnut could be ZZ). Many colour breeders, like myself, put it in the name of the horse if we know they are homo for a gene (like ZZ, ToTo, LpLp...)

Like this one; under its name it says “brown splash white” if one horse says “silver splash white” etc can I use that for the quest or do I need to see if it’s got a ZZ gene in their testing? -HEE Click-

Thank you so much Min, I have a quest for ZZ foal. This is gonna sound so silly as I’ve done this one before but I’ve taken some time off doing quests & just being online for a little bit! Do I look at their colour testing or their name? For example if a horse says “silver copper bay” could I use that or do I need to look into their testing to see if they’ve been colour tested? I’m so sorry if that doesn’t make sense.
