I personally have a show barn and then a barn for my pretty ones (literally just X's but still) and it works because the show horses support my color addiction
@Hagen It depends on what you're working towards and what you're starting with. Your minimum ratings tend to go up over time as your herd improves, especially if you're breeding AD. If you're starting fresh, PPP is easy enough.

Choose a Background for your horse.
Withdraw your horse from it's team. You will lose all team points for this horse. Please discuss this action with the team manager first.
Your horse may show 3 times per week. Shows run daily. Your horse and rider will gain valuable experience from showing. Select a discipline to show in, or scratch from tonight's show.
Showing in the special weekly shows doesn't count against your horse's weekly regular show count.
