KPH, I started, I was studying and learning about it for about 3 months, but my brain couldn't really grasp on to it and I still couldn't understand. Thats why I do what I do now.
Fives years and I'm on a comfortable amount of ebs, bred up my own stock,massive show string and even got into some forms of art. Never a noob for long, just take your time and enjoy the game!
KPH, Just proved my point of being a noob breeder. Honestly, what I do is put my mares names on one wheel, and my stallions names on another wheel. I spin it and who ever it lands on, is who gets bred together. And I do that until my barn is full
If you have Dapple Blend Grain, you can feed it to your horse and their coat will dapple.
The effect will wear off after a few days. One pound of grain will be fed at a time.
If you feed Senior Blend to your senior horse they will have a 10% decreased chance in dying
when the weekly script runs on Monday morning. The effect lasts for one weekly cycle.

You can hire a rider. They will be automatically assigned to your horse. Be sure to visit the Rider's Lounge and pay them.
Set Breeding Requirements for your horse. Enter the minimum rating allowable for breeding. When breeding, Any combo of the entered values and higher will be accepted. Leave blank to set to None.
Edit your horse's remarks. Keep all content PG-13.
Choose a Background for your horse.
Withdraw your horse from it's team. You will lose all team points for this horse. Please discuss this action with the team manager first.
Your horse may show 3 times per week. Shows run daily. Your horse and rider will gain valuable experience from showing. Select a discipline to show in, or scratch from tonight's show.
Showing in the special weekly shows doesn't count against your horse's weekly regular show count.
