| i pay for everything for my mom and make sure she's taken care of but i will never allow her to be a part of my future kids lives and i have very limited contact with her because shes incapable of changing or doing better and the first thing out of her mouth is always something cruel |

| I tried to reconnect with my mother when I became a mother but there's no getting over the past she won't apologize for, and she won't change her behavior toward me or work on it in a productive manner, so I'm estranged from my entire bio family and have been for about seven years now |

| seriously though! my parents thankfully mellowed out with old age. I try to not hold resentment and still be active in their lives. my step dad didn't chill until he got cancer(he beat it thankfully) which, sucks to have to learn a hard way, but glad at the same time or else he would have been a miserable drunk forever. |
