We feed mineral blocks and loose mineral

Mine have salt blocks, but I grain them and include salt in their grain.
Wraithcry Farm

He is who I am showing this year, we did really well last month.

You can get big ole blocks of salt and sulfur, but not all horses like them. I get Oklahoma goat blocks because the small horse mineral blocks don't have sulfur in them

Cybastian is part Friesian part Arabian.
His mom is a black Friesian cross Arabian and Percheron are in her lineage, she's a dressage horse.
Dad was pure Arabian (Out of Cyte)

Imma look into sulfur. I hadn't thought of that.

Some bugs/insects are beneficial bugs
The Old Gods
07:03:44 Void Malign
But with all my experimenting last year, I figured out what works with Oklahoma and her fly bite allergy: mineral blocks with sulfur and ground up flax seed in her food
Glacier Bay Cove
07:03:19 Arctic Katz
That depends on what type of bug it is
MC Ace
07:02:43 McFossil
Eee yikes. That's terrible. Bugs are the real enemy of all kind
Glacier Bay Cove
07:02:12 Arctic Katz
Wonder what would work for cats
The Old Gods
06:57:34 Void Malign
I mean, it's impressive that they manage to turn a friesian sporthorse into a bucking bronc, but not really a good thing over all lol
The Old Gods
06:55:19 Void Malign
Yeah, we use that too. The sulfur is because we get these big ass horse flies that nothing else works on.
Wraithcry Farm
06:54:51 Trigger ๐Ÿพ
My chickens deal with the bugs, but they are in their pen. I don't let them out because my dogs would eat them lol
MC Ace
06:54:10 McFossil
I use permethrin(SP?) on the stalls and regular spray on the horses. Stuff works miracles.
The Old Gods
06:54:09 Void Malign
I also feed mineral blocks with sulfur in them. Helped out Oklahoma significantly since she's a fly magnet
Embervale Acres
06:53:17 Solar Phoenix
I don't know if my girl will be lucky enough to have a Week 10, but I'm excited to try this match out :D

I use the Bronco Fly Spray.
I have to figure out what I am using this year for my veggie garden to keep bugs away.
The Old Gods
06:51:32 Void Malign
I will say mixing a bit of sulfur into the horse fly spray does wonders for getting rid of flies.
