You shouldn't be forced into *anything* faith based. That's extremely toxic regardless of belief system. However my religion emphasizes free will and doing no harm so I'm a bit more intense about it. If being baptized is something you want that's great but you shouldn't have to be worn down until you reluctantly do it.
I think I am lucky that I don't go to church... until my partner and I are able to find a Greek Orthodox church as myelf and out two kids need to get baptized (long story)
I think cult is the wrong term at least for what I've expirienced, cults want to cut you off from your family, make you obediant to the cult leader, etc. I've never expiirienced that, my faith got me way closer to my family-
