Apparently more people say sticks now than boonies. At least from what I've gathered. My recruiter told me he hasn't heard boonies in a while

I say sticks, boonies, and boondocks. Thankfully there's still plenty of places in my state that are still fairly undeveloped but we can honestly thank the specific forest we have for that
Nightingales Ridge
Aaww yes development can certainly change things. My small town where I grew has developed massively but becuase I was an out of towny that areas still pretty beautiful. Its backed on to protected native Bush. Now I live in a large town its quite different .-.

Issy, it's weird because I have that where I live before developing started. We could hear coyotes running up the powerlines in the summer. It used to be the sticks where I live and some people still call it that because it's still less developed than other parts

That sucks. There's a little historic village about an hour from me that will have a train go around. I can't remember if I've ever seen it. But all this train talk reminded me of how people will go to this one beach and the tram always goes "watch the tram car please" and it's like the only thing anyone remembers when visiting there
Nightingales Ridge
Oo that's certainly different. I grew up with sounds of the Bush. Birds, possums, insects haha
iolite stables
@issy ahh that's so cool !! but yeah copper bay is probably my favorite right now haha
Nightingales Ridge
I was disappointed when I went to a town where sometimes the Harry Potter steam train is; but it wasn't there when I went
