@Tano Yes RF but you could at least tell from the training that he was going to be a beast ;D I do train all of my SD colts

I would have had at least 14 XC boys alone which lowkey doesn't seem like that many now that I'm writing it 😂 I feel like I've got to be missing some loll
Sylvan Lake Stables
I finally FRed the mare because she refused to produce another respectable foal
Sylvan Lake Stables
-HEE Click- This was the craziest RF foal for me. A mid breed LB sire and a dam that didn't even go all up on either her w7 or 10 (I don't remember which)... straight to top 20 JABLB
Cloud Peak Stables
That's pretty much how all mine took off....that one really random pairing with that one mare that had no business producing a decent foal lol
Gem
I have *way* too many to test all of SD boys loll. I do have that fear though that I'll miss testing a good one 😭
Sylvan Lake Stables
Yes! Especially with things like my RID programs where I just want to keep everything in case this one mare that went up 0 bars has a RF foal that hits the LBs and changes everything lol that's exactly how my XC RIDs took off
Cloud Peak Stables
Right? And sadly it's all kinda a numbers game so it's easy to justify keeping every foal "just in case it's the one" xD
Sylvan Lake Stables
I had to explain it to my partner that I'm "suffering from success" lol
Glacier Bay Cove
Wondering what kind of luck I will have next RO, as far as breeding goes
Sylvan Lake Stables
Totally understandable, I'm barely staying afloat. But my brain says the one time I don't test a boy that *could* be good, is the time he'd be ABLB, and I can't afford to not do it xD
Cloud Peak Stables
lol I feel that. I've stopped keeping a lot of tester foals because I just can't justify keeping them all around. I may miss a few stars but I can't handle tracking that many.
Sylvan Lake Stables
It gets kinda exhausting testing them all. Either I have to spend a bunch on brood fees or keep a bunch of mediocre tester mares around, and either way, it just fills up my barns with mediocre foals (but I can't FR them until they're trained because you never know)... ugh lol
Cloud Peak Stables
Athena, yeah that's kind of the issue with the Ws being so common now...it's like the Es get bumped to W but you don't know until you train them for a while to figure out and they end up being a waste of time and ebs to keep around.
