| I think AI is a useful tool but it is depressing when people use it to do the sort of tasks AI should be freeing up more time for people to do themselves (e.g. art) rather than boring things (e.g. summarizing an email thread you got cc’d in lol) that don’t need a person’s input |

| Shes like my friend is an ai artist and he makes a ton of money off it. And I was like, you're proving my point. Ai artist is punishing real artists. It takes money away from them. Shes like but its the same as anything. Im like no because they are selling stolen art. And graphic artists lkke me do not. There is a huge fucking difference |

| Omfg I need a rant. This new lady i now work with is pissing me the fuck off. She asked if I was an artist while I was decorating doughnuts and I said yes im a graphic designer. Shes oh cool! Im an ai artist too! I just turned and stared and was like you know thats offensive to real artists right? Shes like no its not im an artist. And im like but you use Ai which steals art from people like me. And shes like no i make it with ai. It doesnt steal. Im like yes it does. That's all it can do. It cant create something from nothing. It combines images to make what you're seeing. Shes like but its my original thought. No one can make anything like it. And im like sure but you didny make it. Ai did. And Ai took it from other people's art. You might have generated it but you didnt 'make' it. And shes like but what about people without hands? They want to make art too. And im like thats not the point. You have hands. And she goes im an artist too. You just draw and I use Ai |
