Dimmy that’s so scary omg

My very first cyst I remember feeling dropped me to the floor crying because it would cause my ovary to twist a bit. It wasn't constant, but I usually knew when I had a big one because if I did anything it would hurt. During my fertility treatments it was insane seeing all the big cystic follicles in my ovaries lol

dimmy, no i dont have a reg OB, took over a year just to get an apt with the first and only one ive ever seen to talk about sterilization and she was awful, im on a wait list to see another but its been a while lol and no i havent heard of it red! but will look into it! they were all confirmed UTIs, other then 3 years ago i got a UTI and double kidney infection , and then my last one that i was sure was the same (something with kidneys or UTI) ended up being negative but no tests were done to see what it actually was

Omg dimmy I could not imagine that. I was super lucky with my periods until I got a 5cm cyst. I’ve got another one now, albeit a bit smaller. The only birth control I’ve been on other than the pills is the bar. It literally made me bald 🥲 I hope you’re in a better situation now tho <3 has the IUD helped with those symptoms?

My meds threw me because it's not what my body needed I think. They were treating the wrong thing

dimmy - oh that gets me aaaaangry. those are no freakin' joke and everyone shows symptoms differently
Red Hill Hollow
Have you heard of interstitial cystitis mellow? Would it be worth to look into that. Or is it like a confirmed uti each time?

Do you have a regular OB? When I was 18? I told my normal doctor that I want to be checked for it and she absolutely refused. Because "if you had PCOS you would have facial hair". Meanwhile I was bleeding for 1-3 months straight with 1-2 months between each "period". I had been on BC pills starting around 11 when they found a big cyst on my ovary. Yet that wasn't good enough lol

urhg, my meds they had put me on just knocked me out, id sleep for 18 hours straight at some points and my mom kept me home from school for a while , and i was like you know what, id rather learn to cope with what im feeling then just sleep this off lol

That’s good the IUD helped Dimmy :) I’m the opposite tho, I feel insane if I don’t take my meds. But everyone is different

dimmy, im pretty sure i have PCOS as well, but i cant find a doctor in my area that knows about it / can give me a diagnosis for it :')

That’s crazy. Glad you were able to advocate for yourself and get a second opinion <3 I hope you’re all good now

Oof meds are so tricky. I was put on ADHD meds as a kid but it turns out I had bipolar and unspecified depression linked to my PCOS that nobody ever wanted to acknowledge. Those meds made me feel the worst. I haven't had issues with depression in years after getting married and moving out. It's hard to say if it was hormonal or situational, but I also started an IUD around that time which helped with the PCOS symptoms

red, youd think :') but that was before i knew how to advocate for myself , luckily i did ask for a second opinion / see a dif doc , which they did all the testing with no issues, but i regret not reporting him and dont know what happened with him after that

I did that questionnaire thing so many times when I first started therapy... I could practically answer them all with my eyes closed
