my first phone was a flip phone when I was aroud 13 just to simply take photos on. no service. Then an iPod touch when I was 14/15,shortly after that an iPhone with no data service either lol. Wifi only, got made fun of everyone for years. It's definitely hard.

Also, I wonder how many of the kids making fun of you are into collecting vinyls and other bits of media that are much older inventions than a flip-phone...
River
I like it a lot, it just makes me feel insecure whenever someone talks bad about it

I'm sorry that people are making fun of you for it, River. Personally, I think it looks cool!

I'm upset that when I re-named my account years ago, I didn't capitalize 'acres'.

Lyra That's my point! there's plenty of "normal looking phones" that may not be the newest fanciest phone model out there but they don't look like a brick, and the only function is texting and calling
Color Wonder Stables
I found what works best is to just let them make fun of you and even make fun of yourself. They get bored after awhile. I did that firsthand when word got out about my fursuit lol.

-Click- This was my first phone lol. It was my dad's but because of the program I was able to be in in high school I was going to be going to the race track and working with horses, he gave me his phone while I was at school.

I somewhat get their perspective, but they could also allow you one and limit it themselves at home. that's what my mom did. Had to give my phone up every evening around 7-8pm. Social media and the internet is a scary world.

I just wish they didn't comment on stuff that just barely out of the ordinary, It's not that odd to have a flip phone I think, they were first made in like what, 1996?
Color Wonder Stables
I remember when I was younger my sisters would give me their old ones to play with. Felt like a rich girl.
River
Lyra They don't want me on the internet, they say I'm on it enough with my computer. But I don't even want a phone no matter what type it is at this point anymore because the kids won't stop talking about it
