Online vet advice is unstable to begin with. It's all guesses and "try this" and in many cases, actual medications are needed. Which people at home can't provide. At this point I just direct people straight to the vet lol.

Definitely go to a vet Geek. I'm not a vet but out of interest, is she retching when upchucking or does she just open her mouth and regurgitate?
Morning Glory Farms
Also I realize they come when they come, I've been breeding for over a decade now 😂 doesn't make it any less stressful when you have a senior maiden mare

I gotta get her a vet visit, just to see when she needs her shots again, and her nails. As for the woman we got her from, she gave me and my brother our dogs as soon as they could be weaned from their mom (8 weeks old/2 months old, I think.)

y'all need to stop coming to hee for animal health advice. The default answer should be "go to a vet".
Morning Glory Farms
Please don't ask for or give vet advice on here, especially when it comes to loosing alot of weight and not eating, noone on here is a vet that is hands on with your animal and can diagnose the actual problem
Silver Melody Acres
but I also agree that she should see the vet, just to make sure it's not something besides the food

Geek, That is a vet visit. And an immediate one, at that. Not a "can it wait a week" type thing.

Yessssss Pure! I think i still have one floating in my freezer also! Just haven't found a girl nice enough to want to use it yet

try plain chicken breast and some white rice. she'll probably do fine on that for a little bit to help her tummy (assuming it's not food allergy related and chicken is it lol) until you can get another brand what did her breeder have her on?

Grandad said, the more you fuss and get stressed, the more a mare will hold that foal back. Now I know the babies come, when they dam good and ready, stress or not. But maybe if everyone just takes a breath and realize, the mare will too. It's a thought

peggy i love him when i seen a straw come available i knew i had to and shes the best mare so thought they be perfect together!!

You need to talk to a vet, Geek. Most of us aren't vets & can't diagnose or really know what the issue is without ever meeting/seeing your dog.

Dear dog owners of HEE, I have a dilemma. I got my puppy, Molly, and I feed her twice a day. However, it's the small, Pedigree bags of dog food, as we haven't made it to a store to get a big bag. When we tried, they were out of the bigger bags of dog food. Now, my problem: This food is making her sick, but I have nothing else to feed her, as human food also makes her sick. Some days, she'll eat it, some days, she won't. And she's losing weight, a lot. What should I do? Is it just her two breeds (English or German pointer x Black Lab) diet preferences, or not?
