Athena, i feel you on the cheap food. we constantly have people dropping off ferals at our facility. a few years ago, we were up to 30 ADULT ferals, not counting the kittens. |

I've used Chewy for about 5 years now. I've literally never had food mites. |
Sunset River Arabian |
Bird I dont have cats anymore and when we did they were barn cats and got fed the cheap basic purina stuff because I wasnt the one buying it. But purina true instinct is okay for the price. Thats what I pushed for but it was always a fight that ended in no |

And I kind of had to do one on my old horse to be honest Eury, when she went into heat she'd get this nasty stuff on her legs that smelled awful. I used to keep her back legs pretty well clipped just to cut down on dealing with that. |

Oh yeah, totally agree with you, I was just suggesting if that made life easier for you guys :) I do hope you find a solution that helps him. |

Sunni I work in a vet hospital and we have so many problems with it. They also drive up the cost of all of our products, bulk store food so it's more likely to have food mites (which makes pets sick), and takes up so much of our time to approve/deny orders and then clients come bitching to us about why their chewy order was denied when we haven't seen their pet in three years |

I get Iams, they have done good on it. They get supplemental with real meat too just like my dogs. They love chicken the most, Waldo used to love eggs. Now he won't eat them. |
Snow Stable |
We got canned cat food from the Family Dollar store two weeks ago, oh my something most have been wrong with it. One cat threw it up twice then refused to eat it. And she eats EVERYTHING! |
Hummingbird Meadows |
Chewy is great! I ordered 24 cans of the purina wet food and called to return it today and they gave me my money back and said to donate them. |
The Old Gods |
But a lot of her issue is her stub tail. Shorter hair makes it easier for me to take a wet wipe to her lmao |
Hummingbird Meadows |
@Coruscant, been debating doing that, but him having loose stool still isn't healthy in my opinion. |
The Old Gods |
Sanitary clips are good for short hairs too. Pup gets the back of her legs and underside of her tail trimmed. |
Coruscant Farm |
I'm not sure if you knew this, but if he's a long-haired kitty there's something called a sanitary clip your vet or a groomer should be able to do for you (or you could learn to do yourself, if your kitty is ok with being groomed). basically just grooms the hair in that area for this reason, to keep long hair clean of poos. |
