I use to work at a certain pet chain store and oh my lord... the doodle hairs made me quit. Matted and unkempt to the max. One dog I HAD to shave due to mold/meldew/dirt/bacteria/ and bugs. The poor dog had a major infection to the point I finally called the police due to animal neglect.
Nyx, luckily ive been in business for a long time and all my clients are on 6 week or less schedules so i dont deal with the neglected ones. but unfortunately its usually the case
Ridley I imagine so! I havenÂ’t met a doodle owner that actually takes care of their dog and brushes out their coat themselves though. IÂ’ve seen them go to groomers all kinds of matted.
And poodles are such awesome dogs, no idea why you would need to chuck a Labrador at it! And their fur is more predictable too as the retriever breeds have additional undercoat which a poodle hasn't
any of the designer dogs. they're just mutts that aren't breeds themselves, so people are free to breed them however they want without breed regulations or health checks. and claim that they're a certain mix whether that's true or not. I've seen designer breed puppies that are being sold for more than a purebred, and they're horrible looking
Unpopular opinion: doodles and doodle breeders are a major part of the puppy mill problem and have too many behavioral and genetic issues for them to be ethically bred.
