My puppy, Molly, won't leave me alone. I can't even shower in peace, just she'll just sit at the door and bark, or whine, or fight her brother, Max, who we also have. Not in a mean way, just puppy romping and playing.

Sting I agree as well. I joined a Facebook group and alot of the feedback is the same, they're a breed that doesn't like stranger So I know I'm not alone.

Sting Lol. That's how we got Shadow, we went to just look. Out a litter of 9 he came and crawled in my lap. And I knew right then we wouldn't be going home without He also strangely enough was the biggest out of the litter

My hound x barks whenever she can. And then she gets my other guy going bc, since he's a Pyrenees, he wants to protect us and our animals, but it'll turn out to be a leaf and he looks at my hound like shes insane xD

And Elf, i think thats okay. I think expecting our dogs to all be social is forcing human things onto them. Our dog isnt social either. She is VERY uncomfortable around other dogs. And men.

Mr independent, pretty colour will NOT be worth it. Pick the scruffy one thats sitting in your lap.

Pia I definitely agree. My Cane Corso doesn't like strangers, even though he's been properly socialized. But then again look at what he's bred for, to guard.

As some one who has had loads of dogs(grown up in rural australia). Some dogs are definitely better than others. As a rule of thumb, go and spend time with the litter, let the dog pick you. Which ever is drawn to you and wants to be with you, is the one you take him.

pia yes! I see so many people complain that their hound dogs bark alot or that they cant have small animals, no amount of training can erase genetics imo
diversified
Also a dog groomer, genetics play a huge part in how the dog will act. What theyre bred for speaks volumes on their behavior.
