| Geek the best way is to let them cry if our sometimes. My son would scream for an hour before grabbing a toy and soothing. My grandmother started a bad habit of every time he would cry she would shove me out the way and pick him up. Saying I should hold him every time he makes a sound. |

| Does he have one of those bouncy chair kind of things that you can lay him in and put on the floor by your feet? You can bounce him gently and distract yourself with other stuff until he calms down. My mom did that alot I remember. Or she'd leave the chair on the table in the kitchen while she cooked and eventually they'd learn to soothe themselves especially if toys were hanging above them |
