| Bird When they are young it is the perfect time to handle them. The more you handle them the calmer they are as they grow and the less likely they are to drop their tail. It is like horses, you want to desensitize them when they are young. They really only have a chance of dropping their tail if they freak out and you grab them by the tail |

| @Angels, do you worry about them losing their tails when handling that young? Do they get scared more easily at that age? Or is it good practice to handle them young so they get used to it sooner? |
