I, too, am a licensed rehabber. I am also licensed to ornithology. You'd be shocked the number of people who ask if they can have the baby back after it's stable. Like, um... No lol

In my small amount of taxidermy work I've never worked on a bird, but I know there are a lot of laws regarding even that.

Yeah I work for animal control and I’m the one who gets to save things. Our main vet is a licensed rehabber. Birds and exotics, etc. Anyway.

Honestly? In all the time I've spent in ornithology and falconry, eggs hatch more frequently than we give them credit for. Somehow they're more fragile once hatched than inside of the egg itself lol

Life is fragile and oftentimes not all the eggs make it, more less just 1. I have duck and chicken eggs in there as well. They still have 2 weeks though.

I know there was nothing wrong with it, I’m just surprised is all. First time using this incubator and it’s not like it’s a big name brand. Hey at least it works.

They do tend to hatch though, since the mother doesn't begin incubation until all the eggs are laid. It probably just needed incubation and had nothing else wrong with it. :)

Ooooh, sweet! I love robins. I'd have offered to be that rehabber if I lived anywhere near by, lol
Whitewolf
The fact that the Robin egg I took home from work actually hatched - my mind is blown lol be off to a rehabber soon

Side note, my gosh dang cat tried to land himself an ER visit. I'm still dealing with the aftermath. But he IS fine.

Aspen, I have this guide here: -HEE Click- Note that it mentions 500x500. Stable avatars need to be 300x300. But otherwise it works the same. :)
