Everything in their wild form is quite special. I follow Alberta Wildies Society on facebook and they put all this trail camera footage up that captures some. Loosely follows the lives and losses of bands of horsies.

Versa definitely. Any we catch and fix we send to barns typically. Still outside but they have a purpose I guess? Rat and mice control at least lol amazing how many farmers ask us for those kind
Heartbeat Haven
Fang, At least those ones aren't making 12 litters a season anymore, though lol. But realistically outdoor cats just gotta become more controlled to some degree. We have *thousands* upon thousands
Whitewolf
Red, still pretty cool. My parents went to Arizona and saw some wild asses last year, shame I missed out lol
Whitewolf
Versa- absolutely. People always ask what breed when adopting from us. 🤦♀️ I just say domestic short hair. I mean it’s a cat. It’s mixed. All mine are fixed at least. We have people that do TNR - trap neuter and release but I mean they just let them go back into the city after lol
Red Hill Hollow
They’re not true wild horses, more feral. They’re from war horses that were released during WW1. Let me see if I can find a pic for you
Whitewolf
Red, I am so jealous. Something I have never seen yet is any kind of wild horse. That would be neat to see
Heartbeat Haven
Fang, It'd help if people got their cats fixed. I can't tell you the sheer number of people who come to me asking what "breed" their cat is when 98% of them are just domestics of some hair length lol
Red Hill Hollow
We’re pretty lucky where I live. There’s not many feral animals aside from a herd of brumbies that live in the forestry. They’re beautiful to watch, especially when they have foals in the springtime
Whitewolf
Versa - I know, I have to help trap them on a daily basis in the city but it feels like a never ending losing battle lol
Nightingales Ridge
Us humans are quite choosey with animals. We had family friends with heaps of pet rats
Whitewolf
I’m not worried about it here. Each their own for sure. The amount of wild outdoor cats in town alone is staggering though
