I'll absolutely check it out!

Lol of course! I actually have a lot of good topline building stuff on that blog since I was rehabbing a KS horse, and full disclosure I did use the pessoa system a little but it's because he's such a flailer that he was hurting himself, so that was just to hold him steady. I don't really love it for other horses 😂

Also right after I got my first horse my trainer hooked her up in side reins and she went absolutely hog wild and flipped herself over onto her back, so I'm lowkey scared of them 🥲 looking back I know what the problems were but it's still freaky to try it again with a greenie

Word, that's what I originally wanted to try, but I'm flying solo in all of this right now and psyched myself out lol. Thanks :)

-HEE Click- the May 13th post has the equiband with a bareback pad. But you could do something similar through the girth instead of the saddle pad

Ive never done / bought this sort of thing which is why im looking for opinions. In my short search ive definitely heard that about Pessoa. I thought about makeshifting something kind of like what you're saying but I'm not exactly how to hook everything up.

Pessoa system Honestly, all it does is compress the horse's spine and harden their mouth. You're better off lightly using a polo wrap around their hind end to help them understand engagement (they also sell bungees that do the same thing) and maybe a loose set of side reins to help the horse stay straight

I want to build up my boy's topline before he starts riding. We do groundwork and poles and such but I'd like to try... welp, I can't remember the name of it, but connecting the mouth, surcingle, and bum

Love how I get sick immediately after making plans for Sunday 🙃

Glacier I'm sure the people your making the art for will love them
