Yeah, I was a 'truancy kid' as well. That apathy is concerning. Support and guide the best you can with him.

My mom gets up, at 5-ish every morning, as does our dad, they leave around 6/6:30-ish, doesn't get home until 6-ish in the evening. They do get my brother up a few minutes before they leave, and I get him up, again, at 7-ish, since his bus comes at 8 in the morning.

Geek Sorry, but to me it seems like if it's a teenager in high school the student should face consequences as well. He might be toying with getting suspended or even expelled
The Old Gods
That would just make things worse if the kid is having mental health issues
Calela Eventing
Hmm, sounds like me as well I was having very bad mental health issues at the time
Insignia Elites
Maybe the kid should go to jail instead. Seems weird that the parent takes the blame when they are trying to get them to go
Transformers Acres
Vixie Maybe. He just said, and I quote, "It's not that deep if I miss school." Sir, yes it is. Our mother could go to JAIL for this. He just said he doesn't wanna go.

Sounds like me in high school, maybe he is going through some mental health challenges?
Transformers Acres
Kai No clue. He skips classes, I know that. He hasn't said anything about being bullied, and he normally does. He just stays up all damn night, and refuses to get up.

Greek -- that's insanely tough, i'm sorry. is there any specific reason he's not going to school? maybe bullying that's not being addressed?
Transformers Acres
Em The school my brother goes to, it's state law. Miss more than 20 days a year (Even if the school knows about it), without valid reasoning, and yeah, you can go to jail for 10+ days, and $50 to $150 dollar fines, PER day missed, afterwards
Santana Rising
I got a WWE-E boy, but he's so ugly! Almost used all my rerolls in an attempt to pretty him up. It's slightly better, but I was hopimg to get one of the better buckskins. Can't help it that I really dislike this colouring
Vixen Creek
i believe so, since it's the parents responsibility to ensure their child receives an education unless there is a valid reason for them not attending
Love and Monsters
Em, Yes, your guardians can get fined or arrested for not taking their child(ren) to school
