| Snitch: basically silver is not a color, it's a dilution gene, and it works only on black pigment. The most plain silver you can have is silver bay or silver black. Chestnuts can have the gene for silver, but it will not be listed in the horses color and will not change the coat at all |

| Any presence of the silver gene just dilutes the black points on bays, buckskins and black etc. I don’t think it makes a difference if it’s Zz or ZZ |
