Most of our murders are in domestic settings rather than in public. And hardly any guns |

I have always envied the UK their lower crime and gun rates. If I could move anywhere that would be my choice. |

The UK is a lot safer than the US. Murder rate is 1.2 per 100,000 people as opposed to 5.76 in the US |

I've visited SA with my husband maybe 10 years ago, we drived around for 40 days and nothing strange happened. Obviously, in Africa you do not drive at night and you do not stop if you see a vehicle with some people calling for help at the road side. |

Majesty I know! I was thinking about doing Profiling for the FBI but now I’m kinda just waiting for everything to calm down |

In the past I would have said you guys need to get over here to the U.S.A. where it's safer, but now it's totally insane here, so not. I think anywhere else might be safer. |

Well, we have a safari like farm 10 minutes away from the house. And the horses 😍 |

Why thank you, i'm very glad as well. I told them to stuff it and left. It did take nearly 2 hours to get back to the house though SA isn't all bad though, we have plently of good places too |

Duuuude yeah SA is a place I have no desire to visit whatsoever. Glad you didnt get kidnapped lol |

Ooh, i actually have a story for you all now Back a few years ago, i must've been 11 or something like that. My bike broke down on a backroad and i was sitting down trying to fix the chain when this couple came up with this baby. I swear to god that baby wasn't theirs, she was screaming her head off and there was no stroller or any supplies. They offered me a ride and i cant tell you how terrified i was |

Yep, i'm in SA. Its... interesting. I mean when he flew to Johannesburg for a show we could barely drive anywhere because of hijacking. And someone on our town actually was kidnapped a year ago for ransom, just got him back now. And definetly drive over it, you never stop on the road no matter what |

🤣🤣 Plenty of case studies lol. You're in SA arent you? I dont think anything in the UK compares to what Ive heard about that. Another friend's parents are South African and I distinctly remember them telling me at about 12 years old that if you see what might be a body in the road you drive right over it |
Calela Eventing |
Oh well, can't be worse than where i am now Country-wise atleast, town itself is actually really nice I want to study Criminology and Criminal Justice so maybe the crime rate will help me |
Minerva |
Nice one! Well it probably doesnt hold a candle to London's crime rates so think of it as practice 🙈🤣 |
Calela Eventing |
Min Okay, got it. Yeah, i was worried about that. The plan is to be there for Uni, from post-grad to doctorates and then move again, hopefully to London |

Cali Ahhh! What a nice friend!! Anyway, there's not a lot of crime. I have been there for 7 months, and nothing happened. Also, its very quiet there ! |

I've never been myself but I lived with a Glaswegian. From what I picked up, the public transport is pretty good, but the rough areas are ROUGH. And bonfire night gave her a severe fear of fireworks as people put them through letterboxes (and worse, but thats not appropriate for a 13+ horse game...) |
