Ally, One time at work I was speaking with a Senegalais man who didn't have much English, and I said "French is hard." and he went "to write but not to speak" and i went damn you're right lol |

No i get it. Choosing what to eat is such a pain sometimes. You never have to reheat grass |

I live there but I dont know to be honest, only that in the first year French is obligatory, in the second year you also get German, and later you have options to drop it. Throughout all the years English is also obligatory |

French also has a lot of clout in EU politics (alongside German, but Germans are more likely to speak English with you than French people) |

Ally We only have that rule because years ago seniors were getting pregnant left and right, so they decided to make this a mandatory class. This school is an original experience lmao |

I do know about French in Belgium since it's right next to France haha |
Kilglas |
i.e. if you have friends in Belgium as a Dutch person maybe it's useful to know French? |
Kilglas |
My guess there is that French is spoken widely in Belgium, which is linguistically adjacent to the Netherlands, so uh... it doesn't really make sense LOL but kinda |
