san - seconding XD although I have noticed it's a lot higher than it was, or at least it feels so haha (I set up alerts and at one point it was like every rotation for 30 minutes then without for maybe 20 then back again haha)

Sav, you and I are pretty much the same. lol. Come and go a lot. It's rare that we seem to be actively playing during the same time frame.

If you start off with low level horses and want to speed things up, sure. But even then it might always be nice to keep mares around since they stay in the money longer. Since I only show the higher level horses anyway I don't have the need to substitute anything with geldings. I had some stallions (WWWs and a current wild EWW) turn AD SM at 16-17. So they are already all the way up the ladder while still actively breeding.

I've been playing for 16 years & have only bred 1 WWW on this account lol I'm just here for fun and vibes.

I show all my non color bred horses, my mares do the best out of all my show string

san - hear hear. I show any horse, they're all potentially just as capable as any other, gelds just train faster so if you want to shoot up the ladder it's easier from what I can tell

I've been playing for nearly 16 RL years... it was only recently that I started getting WWW horses... but I'm not exactly what you would call a dedicated player.

Kai, I stick to my system I developed before going on hiatus (2013 - 2015). I only show mares (and stallions, though they are far less). PPP and PEP combo mares are the basis of my show stock. I train all in AD- that way if they level up in one discipline I just try them in the one they haven't leveled yet. I started with my level 1 fillies and gradually my show profit grew as they grew and now I only show level 5 to 9 and hit my show cap with just those. Plus I don't need to keep barns for horses I cannot breed with (apart from my precious oldies of course, who still either show or train my riders as schoolmasters). I'm not saying mine is the 'right' or only way. Just giving a different perspective to the myth that anything that isn't a gelding is allergic to showing.

If it helps I have a simplified showing guide on my stable page I use for myself
Cataclysm
Star, couple months, but i got one of the giveaway mares so it was probably quicker than most
