Red, ah I see. That’s sad then that people do that
Whitewolf
I’m weird - I can make animal noises right - so sometimes when the elk are in rut I go up there early in the morning right at daylight and bugle (call) to them 😂 even have videos not that I can share since it shows me lol

We don’t have a big roundup like that. It’s just random people going out and grabbing them, so it’s a bit more dodgy
Whitewolf
Reminds me of the mustang roundups. Only other big animal we really have is elk. Those are fun to go see, it’s about an hour drive
Red Hill Hollow
Yess they’re very pretty, unfortunately people will go out and catch them :( Wow buffalo? That’s so cool, I’ve never seen any sort of big animal like that
Whitewolf
I was going to look for a photo but going through my phone photos is not a good idea right now lol
Whitewolf
Coolest thing I had nearby was some buffalo, bison whatever you want to call them. An old tree farm decided to turn into a buffalo farm - eh lasted about 10 years but neat to see lol

Fang, I don't mind barn cats as much as I do outdoor cats. Barn cats typically are focused on the barn and aren't in danger of poisoning because the owners are aware. But working in ornithology so long, and seeing so many birds come in that I can't save because of a cat bite... It's sincerely heartbreaking

Everything in their wild form is quite special. I follow Alberta Wildies Society on facebook and they put all this trail camera footage up that captures some. Loosely follows the lives and losses of bands of horsies.

Versa definitely. Any we catch and fix we send to barns typically. Still outside but they have a purpose I guess? Rat and mice control at least lol amazing how many farmers ask us for those kind
