| Awww it is a lot of fun, we are lucky that our families are fairly small and not super traditional. That said, our actual wedding is in Japan and then we are coming home for a blessing/traditional photos/wedding party - just to make it more complicated. But hey, twice the fun! |

| My friends got married a couple of years ago, he's from the UK and she's from North Carolina, so they couldn't please both sides of the family since one lot would always have to travel. They ended up eloping to the Scottish highlands and got married on the side of a mountain instead 🤣 |

| She said that EVERY family member on their side had to be invited or she wouldn't attend. I said bet. And got married in a court house with my parents, his parents/grandmother, and each of us one friend. |
