| All of our shelters come vetted but I felt some kind of way when that lady told me she didn’t have room for my super local feral kittens because she was waiting on cats from a rescue |

| I wanted to adopt a cat, but the cat charities here (UK) have completely unrealistic requirements. Like, constant access to outdoors and a fully cat proofed garden. Not happening. So I had no choice to buy, got my ragdoll from a lovely breeder - and she’s an angel. |

| Often times at the shelter near my parents, the dogs and cats are sent out to rescues before anyone has a chance to adopt, especially if they're a desirable type or young (<2) |

| Oh yeah at our shelter it costs at least $150 to adopt a cat. Dogs are like $300 |

| I also know that shelters in my area don't allow dogs to go to working homes, like LGD, Herding, & Hunting |
