i was initially going to be a vet but once i was old enough to assist the vet when she came out for the horses, and i saw the reality of loss in real time, i couldnt fathom the guilt of that loss being mine to bear even if there was nothing else to be done. i didn't want to become jaded or cynical the way so many medical professionals/first responders do. power to the people who have that kind of courage |

That's why I'm going to vet school. I want people to be able to trust me to care for their animals. I hate it when people who work with animals say 'Oh, it's nothing', when, clearly, there is something wrong. |

We had a vet that didnt get everything out when my female dog had surgery and she still had heat cycles >.> |

The first decent one we have found is an hour drive. Thats how bad our vets are. My mom even drove an hour to get a second opinion from another vet and they are good as well |

The vet my sister took her dog to to get neutered did a botch job. He had one testical that never dropped so they had to do surgery to get it out and they sewed him up super super jacked and crooked. He also ended up getting a huge infection and they ended up having to spend thousands of dollars and take him up to an emergency vet an hour away like everyday for a couple weeks for treatments |

unfortunately they are around here too, i've got a couple of good vets i trust but they stay busy in a rural area with their good reputation. a lot of other rural vets at least in my area are either all about the livestock and can be dismissive with domestic pets or visa versa. hard to find one that can do both. |

The majority of the vets around here are like that unfortunately :( Its so hard finding a good one these days |

Yeah there is this one vet clinic in the town i grew up in that is known for being horrible. They will put animals down for no reason, overdose animals, do unnecessary surgeries, and more |

The vet we used to get Dede seen was super nice, very knowledgeable and cared. They are walk ins only and you have to sit in your car and wait but they are one of the best places I have been |

My fiances mom took their rabbit to this one vet we all liked going to for all out animals. The rabbit had eaten a sewing needle and had to have surgery. Well they didn't even give the rabbit antibiotics and when he ended up getting an absess a week later they said they have to make an appointment (which would take like two months) in order to get any antibiotics. .-. We don't like them anymore lol |

They charge $75 for an office visit and according to my mom they didnt even touch him when she told them something was wrong |

We used to go to them until they started charging ridiculous amounts and the care went down. After what happened to my mom we definitely wont be back. |
