| River I know what you mean, if the horses aren't fighting and getting stirred up I wouldn't worry too much about giving them a quick pat, it's mainly reading body language and just not feeding them (which I know you said you wouldn't <3) |

| River You could always ask permission if you ever see the owners :) There is a young girl who we granted persimmon to pat out horses |

| the people who attempt to give my girl attention are owners over her herdmates so I don't mind. She's stranger danger kinda horse. I would love her to be comfortable to let them catch her incase something happens while I'm at work. |

| Eve Makes sense, I've seen them before and they look pretty curious when I walk by, I definitly don't feed them, one because I don't have permission to do that either and I don't know what they can or can't have, I also don't know if they are a biter, I guess that wouldn't make sense with petting them though either. |

| I personally don't like when people pat my horses when I am not there or haven't granted permission. Only because they are in a large herd and they fight for the attention. I don't want a vet bill because one got kicked. Then it makes people too comfortable and they start feeding them |

| @River, if I ever get one I will have to share it. ;) I felt bad for them this summer because one of them was soaked in sweat the whole time because he never got rid of his winter coat. I'm guessing he has cushings disease. The other day when I saw them their hoofs were chipped and cracked too. =( |
