They in July '19, "mass removal", which was the mastectomy and that one nearly killed her because it got infected. |

Buuut that was in march '17 and then she had her ovaries out in aug '17. |
Chamberlin Manor |
Huh. Wild. Horses and their health will never cease to amaze me lol. Mystery illnesses and all. |
The Old Gods |
Per her medical records, she wasn't bred, but her right ovary had a "large CL". They gave her regumate, but she was producing milk from all 4 quarters and her udder was very sensitive |
Chamberlin Manor |
Was there something specific that made her keep producing milk? That's wild, I think I've seen something like that once at a TB farm, but I can't recall what it was. |

Void My old geldings like that now XD he was heavily abused by a male trainer and used to bolt and strike at everyone. He's still a bit skittish around men but as soon as he hears my footsteps her sicks his head through the window and watches me until I feed him snacks |

Cancer concerns, from what I've been able to figure out. She also had a mastectomy because she kept producing milk without being bred. |
Chamberlin Manor |
They at one point decided to breed her and after she foaled, she had to have a 10 ft. catch rope taped to her halter. She'd bolt at you, ears pinned, mouth open, etc. She was just kind of a shit show as a mother and nailed another mare's baby in the head who eventually ended up passing. Owners just saw her as a price tag, unfortunately. |
The Old Gods |
It's telling that I've gotten her from being standoffish and pinning her ears at people to being an annoying pocket horse lol |
Chamberlin Manor |
Poor girl. I really felt for this mare because she was super nice, just got real mean, which honestly? Fair. |
