Most people know puppy mills are bad, but I still feel like snake racks are up for debate in the reptile world. I disagree with them personally. |

@Angel Me neather, overweight with just a water bowl and maybe some substrate? What kind of life is that? Snake mills are just as bad a puppy mills but got forbid someone says that 🫩 |

@Bird The quickest anything get my blood going is Snake Racks, at what point is it just hoarding? Side note, I'd have to report to corporate because what.the fuck? Cohabitation between pythons aren't done for a reason, they get territorial, aggressive and overall stressed very, easily. It took Athena eight months to stop striking at everything when I got them separated. Aphrodite had a couple of old bite wounds from her |

The only animals we keep together at our store are babies. They get separated when they start to grow up |

Green - that can be said about many species of 'pets'. All too often, that oh so cute impulse buy puppy, ends up in a shelter, or worse. |

I even left a review of a local pet store that was keeping 5 ball pythons together in an enclosure. PetSmart does better than that. |

I don't have any rescues at the moment. Unless you count my little deformed babies I took in lol |

@Green, yes! It drives me nuts! I occasionally look a local reptile classifieds (just because) and at least 98% of the ones I see are living in neglect and being sold with an abhorrent setup. |

Don't get me started about how blatant reptile abuse runs so massively rampant. 3 out of my 4 came from people who simply realized they didn't want to do more then the bare minimum of care and research. 2 were housed together and you can imagine how that went. |

@Granny, I wish I could say the majority of stupid people I meet is while x-raying them, but no, it's when I'm out in public and not even close to the hospital. XD |

Bird I don't know lol he is one of those crazy Hispanic dudes (not being racist I promise) but he mostly keeps agressive fish like Oscars and cichlids |
Hummingbird Meadows |
@Angels, is he an avid reptile keeper? Or some weirdo who thought an alligator would be a good pet? |
Angels angels |
Also on another note, the guy that owns the barber shop across from the pet store I work at has a pet alligator |

I love snakes but I don't touch them unless I know what they are and that they aren't venomous lol. There was once a baby snake under a water trough I was cleaning and I didn't know what it was. I had never seen one around here. I used a shirt to relocate it so I didn't squish it but it ended up being just a little water snake. I took a picture and looked it up after |
