| Depends on the mare, the birth, the foal theres so many factors, we dont usually rebreed until the heat AFTER the foal heat if we rebreed, we dont usually breed back to back we like to give mares a year off if we can |

| Fuck I guess hahaha Oh that doesn't even cover when we first checked her to see if she'd taken and there was. No baby. Zero baby in there. And it was a week after we were supposed to check (completely my bad) and the vet was like "yeah this bitch empty, YEET" and then another vet a week after that was like "well,,, maybe let's check again justincase" and. It was in there. And it's been a problem ever since 😂 |

| most mares are stall rest for the first few days and then short amounts outside time for a few weeks depending on the set up and babys needs |

| Lilly- she stopped letting them foal unsupervised in the mare pasture after some dog killed a local donkey after being loose on the streets. I say loose because I don’t know if it was a stray or escaped pet |
