| totally agree dimmy!! had to learn all that the hard way in my teens lol but i feel like i got all that "party mentality" out of my system super young lol so now in my late 20s i like to be in bed by like 9pm xD |

| See I never had any interest in people who smoked or drank in high school. I avoided them. I'd never date anyone who smoked. It's easy to not get in those situations, you just have to set standards of respect and value for yourself |

| Yeah, I get that :( my parents ( especially my mum) were very anti smoking so I never got exposed to that really as a child. I’m still fairly young now so living with my BF is my first real exposure to smoking households. It’s been very eye opening |

| ohhh yesss ... the vapes got me good lol the flavoured ones taste SOO good and gave me a good boost when i was gettting tired at work , lasted longer and were cheaper then constantly buying energy drinks lol |

| oh yea absolutely, thats how i picked it up a few times, in highschool to hang out with "the cool kids" lol college for the nicotine rush to keep up with my insane schedule of working full time + school full time and all the driving between - and when i worked in a mechanic shop for a bit i picked it up from stress xD |

| Im the same, I’ve struggled with addiction myself. Especially vapes and alcohol. But im very fortunate to have had a great support system that helped me. A lot of people don’t have support like that. I suppose there’s other factors like peer pressure, wanting to fit in or to use it as an escape. It’s very unfortunate, especially with how detrimental it is to your health |

| My younger sister smokes, but both her parents (my dad and step mom) smoke, and her boyfriend smokes too so she's surrounded by it. Growing up she swore she never would and didnt want to be like her parents. None of my other sisters smoke thankfully |

| Sometimes people just grow up with parents smoking (like me) - and sometimes you work with people who do smoke and you just kinda... fall into it. Asking to try one once can make you either hate them, or afterwards you're kinda like "...wait" |

| honestly i do and dont get why people start, i personally have struggled with addiction issues and have a very addictive personality, but ive been very fortunate to be the type that im able to pick up and drop bad habbits (like smoking) with no issues lol |

| I understand that smoking is very addictive and very hard to stop. But I don’t understand why people would want to start smoking in the first place. This is probably very naive of me but idk. My boyfriend’s best friend smokes too (we’re all in our early 20s) and so it makes it so hard to hang out with them and be social. |
