Fatty fat liver?
The Lone Star
So the news is in. My doctor says I have non alcoholic fatty fat liver. At least it's not cancer, right? Lol.
Nightingales Ridge
Humans are too lol but jokes aside we certainly have protected areas for birds. Wild cats n ferrets etc get trapped if they were to wander into those areas so you'd definitely want domestics inside. Mousers are bit different
Heartbeat Haven
Sadly outdoor cats are technically invasive. And their population is ouuuuut of control, so I always recommend indoor. If they're not able to be kept indoor, either a catio or bell collar is my next go-to lol

My cat that recently passed was a good hunter. Always left us mice. Some frogs. She even caught weasels a few times and they STINK.
Heartbeat Haven
Lyssa, Oh good! Well now you know then, ahah. Unless they're a barn cat watching your grain, I never, ever recommend keeping a cat outdoors. Dangerous not only for the birds, but for the cat itself, too!

Versa We don’t - dad won’t let me, we’re in town and it’s all town cats and he doesn’t want to start feeding everyone. But lol he can’t escape them our neighbours on our one side feed them so they like to hang out around
Versailles
Lyssa, If you've got kitties yourself, there are collars designed for outdoor cats with bells that jingle and alert birds to the cat's presence. I don't like outdoor cats, but I always suggest jingle collars for those who can't keep their cat inside. Our birds don't need more predators. <3
Executive Stables
Versa Yeah I figure we do have a really tall maple or oak tree that the birds love I have yet to see a cat climb it so there should be at least one nest in that tree
Versailles
Lyssa, Oh no :( They probably won't nest there again. Robins will reuse nests in later years, but if their chicks die, they won't use it again. Sadly it's for the best, outdoor cats cause a LOT of havoc on robins.
