LBKL If you are still a junior, het into a 4-H club and get on the judging team or at least go to all their educational meetings and practices. If not a junior, our State Ag Dept in NC had Open Show Judges clinics every year. Luckily they brought in excellent nationally and even internationally known judges as clinicians. If you are wanting a judge's card from a particular breed or show association, you need to look at their process for applying for and working to become a carded judge. Those end up being a process, sometimes quite lengthy, depending on which association, and also can cost quite a bit by the time you meet all the requirements for education and apprenticeship. Which will also include fees, travel, etc, on your own dime. |
