| Gladius - (autocorrect wants to call you Gladys) thank you, it’s difficult not to treat it as if I am committing to my life’s work - the intensity of it all seems to make it that way. Sometimes I feel like even when I’m trying to do good in the spheres I know I’m only fixing the symptoms of a broken society rather than fixing it at the source. It’s rather draining and makes things feel hopeless. I hope things can change for the better faster than I assume. |

| zrek - I know how scary that can be, and I've been there. I will say you absolutely don't have to commit to your "life's work" right this instant. that's why keeping your experiences varied and your eyes open is so important. the thing you least expect to be what gives you meaning could in fact end up being the thing you really enjoy. and "career" changes can come anytime, anywhere. I also hear what you're saying about society--it's tough out there. but there are good people, who share your values; you just have to dig through the crap to find them, which is of course easier said than done |

| Eve - I did think of social work. What positions out there pay a working wage? If I’d be doing it as my main source of living income. |

| Issy - thank you. I needed to hear that. I feel like a lot of my struggles are made worse by the fact I feel trapped in inability to change. Since I have certain financial goals I’d like to hit and all, I think I put myself into this box and finding that balance is scary. And for sure, I have really been focusing on highlighting what I deem success, just finding myself and my peace. I definitely do have that fear of later changing my mind because I’ve felt how scary it is to suddenly lose who you thought you were and have to find it again. |

| My brother studied animation...he's now a plasterer and painter. My friend was a builder but now he's a cop |

| I just feel like there’s no job in the world I could make my own. And I know nothing will ever be 100% that way, but i don’t know, with all my beliefs about how society is structured most jobs I find something that’d compromise who I am. For example just selling products or working for a mass production company - I feel like everything is drive by this economic greed and we aren’t getting any closer to a better society. And I just might feel like if I’m contributing to that, or even staying neutral in my work, that I’m just enforcing it. |
