| Most psychiatric conditions can only be diagnosed via symptoms, and even then it can be hard since many of them have overlapping symptoms/presentations. |

| Sunni No the only thing that helps me is doings something to get my mind off of it so I either get on here or watch youtube videos |

| Void, am not a doctor and I'd imagine they could see how the brain is firing. If they can monitor the brain while you're sleep I wouldn't imagine the technology being out of the question. |

| Yeah I don't take medicine anymore. My anxiety is mostly gone or I suppress it lol. But now it is just phone calls and appointments that give me anxiety. I just ignore it and power through though |

| Angel do you use breathing techniques? I tired but they don't work for me. I just start counting or moving/patting something. |

| There isn't any sort of scan to show chemical imbalances in the brain. So, you're going to be waiting for awhile. |

| Also middle school for me, I honestly didn't even get seen my a psychiatrist. My regular doctor just said it was such and such and gave me medication. |

| Angel that's good, the medicine has helped me. Anxiety is still my weak spot, I've gotten better but when it comes to some things. I can't control it. |

| I feel that. In high-school is when I was diagnosed with clinical anxiety and depression. Thats how I know I have it, but I was able to get over the depression part with medication and working on it myself |

| Until enough information can prove it. Then again find and getting into one is hard. Had to cancel my appointment. |

| Angel I don't know what mines from. To be honest a psychiatrist is never given me a straight answer. They said bipolar then ruled that out. Then they said manic depression and anxiety. But I won't believe anything until there's a scan done showing a chemical imbalance. I drive doctor's crazy. |

| Sunni I only play HEE lol So it is my safe haven. I get panic attacks for no reason. I also have anxiety due to hormone imbalances, but I have learned to control and overcome it for the most part. Just the damn panic attacks I can't control:P |
