| Stella, I plan on actually keeping it XD I get it lives 20+ years and i'm up to that. plus i'll live alone when i go to college so I think a snake would be best for me. I'll go to conventions and interact with them and do research on how to take care of them 6-7 months before I get one. I'll also go to multiple conventions and interact with them before I get one of my own.. |

| I think conventions are your best bet: if you get one and haven’t held one, been around one or let one interact with you. I think it’ll make things worse and then the snake could get stressed out. I don’t think it’s wise to get one just to get over a fear - like Angel said earlier they aren’t a short term thing they do live fairly long and need just as much care as a dog or cat. |

| Conventions should do. Personally I think you should start with a lizard if you’re wanting a reptile but scared of snakes. Unless you’re scared of them. |
