@Athena, why with the chest x-ray though?! I am an x-ray tech and we take SO many chest x-rays. To me the anxiety attack explains the chest pain which means you dont need to be exposed to radiation.
I had an ER nurse tell me to stop being dramatic when I was having a panic attack. I couldnt breath, I had sharp pains in my chest like a heart attack and they were trying to get me into a gown for a chest xray. And I hate being touched too.
@Al, I get your point. It is just hard feeling like your symptoms and pain are an emergency only to be told it isnt. Makes me feel like I cant trust my body.
At the same time they cant really say things to scare the patient either. I can assure you that when I was told it was an emergency and that amputation was an option I did not think "thanks for letting me know"
