| Geek the best way is to let them cry if our sometimes. My son would scream for an hour before grabbing a toy and soothing. My grandmother started a bad habit of every time he would cry she would shove me out the way and pick him up. Saying I should hold him every time he makes a sound. |

You can bounce him gently and distract yourself with other stuff until he calms down. My mom did that alot I remember. Or she'd leave the chair on the table in the kitchen while she cooked and eventually they'd learn to soothe themselves especially if toys were hanging above them |
