I used to do the medication for a little welshie at work- we'd cut a little cube of carrot then hollow out the middle, put the pill in and put some carrot back in the top of the hole. | My horses are both sugar sensitive, they get a dry scoop of oats mixed with beet pulp pellets morning and night. At night it's warm soaked to avoid dry belly causing colic. If they got more grain they'd get hyper and hurt themselves on the ice. |

| I have a love-hate relationship with the alfalfa she gets. She absolutely loves eating it, but it's dusty. So have to wear a mask when I break up the flakes and mist it down with water. |
