lmao. I'm basing my information off of hours of research and consultation with a vet when I had to deal with a food adverse senior cat |

I ha da vet for year telling me my cat was over weight and then I took her to an emergency vet and they said she is perfect weight for her breed and age. Definitely listen to the vet but also use your own judgement on what you think it can eat. If he still seems hungry then feed it. |

Hi everyone, popping in to stalk the trail rides and clinics. Working good for my AD boys. I think it's ad. |

Listen to your Vet, they know the cat and it's needs better than the arm-chair Vets on HEE. |

Mine are indoor so don't need a mant calories when your sleeping all day |
The Old Gods |
It does depend on the size of the can and how many calories per can |

Revel, Can't you put the food up high so the dog can't reach? Versa, That's a lot of food, recommended is a can a day depending on their weight / age, at least that's how mine eat |
Lucky Ranch |
yeah id ask them i believe cats need about 250 calories per day, but it depends on bodyweight |
Versailles |
I'm a little concerned because usually wet can foods need like, two full cans for an average sized cat, per meal |
Revel Ranch |
He got wet food as soon as I got home although I think he ate quite a bit of food from the bag. |
Revel Ranch |
@Void, they are the size of a tuna can. I know it is not a lot, but he only eats about 1/4 of it at a time before leaving it. He will come back and eat it later, but like I said I can't leave it out or my dog will eat it. |
