Game Rules

Don't transfer Eden Bucks between your accounts. This includes all accounts in your household whether or not they belong to multiple members in your household, or just you.
Don't transfer horses between your accounts or accounts in your household.
Don't Save links to copyrighted materials where you do not own the copyright or have written permission to use it. This applies to stable avatars, horse page pictures, posting pictures on the forum, or any other part of the site. Do NOT hotlink to any horse photos. This is also stealing. All images used on this site, by members, must be credited. Please see the game Forum Art Shops Section for a sticky on how to properly credit artwork.
If you have multiple accounts, they should be played separately on their own, and cannot be used to benefit your other accounts in any way.
Proxy Servers (with the exception of AOL) may not be used to access HorseEden.com
Don't have other people create accounts for the purpose of transferring eden bucks or horses to your account.
Don't try to get around the rules by involving another member in rule breaking.
Premium features are for upgraded members only. If you are on a free account, please don't ask Premium members to rate your horses for you, use straws for you, or use any other Premium feature for you.
Exploiting bugs for monetary or game advantage is strictly prohibited.
Spamming other stables' gamemail is not allowed. This means don't send gamemail to other stables asking them to buy your horses, or breed to your horses, or any other spam type requests.
Buying and selling other game currency in exchange for eden bucks is not allowed.
Deals between members is at your own risk. Staff will not solve it for you. However if you get reported as a scammer, it is an auto-ban.
Only 3 free accounts total are permitted per household.
Impersonating staff is not allowed.
Contests requiring an entry fee are not allowed.
Attempting to decompose how the game functions is strictly prohibited.
Our website and code are protected under United States and International Copyright laws and treaties, and may not be decompiled, re-used, copied, saved, reproduced, transmitted, hacked, or derived from.

Roleplay Rules

This is a PG-13 Website. No Profanity or Vulgarity or Sexuality is allowed. This means your Characters need to keep it clean.
Being flirty and young love themes are Ok. Naughty behavior/kissing/sex/etc is not allowed though.
If you're roleplaying horses and they breed, keep it simple like "And then they bred".
No forced breeding is allowed. No graphic descriptions of breeding are allowed.
You may not force another character to do anything.
Fighting is only permited if both parties want to fight.
God Modding is not allowed.
Do not be mean to other characters.
When new characters arrive, welcome them into the story.
The Roleplay area is not a chatroom. All content entered should be part of the story and nothing else.
Do not invite members to RP offsite to get around the rules. That is considered predator behavior and results in an autoban.
No advertising is allowed.
These rules apply whether you are roleplaying in the RP or in your PM. The Terms Of Use for this website must be followed at all times. Please remember that your Mailbox is not private and may be reviewed by staff at any time. If you break any of these rules, your stable will be heavily fined and you will be banned from Roleplay, and possibly from the site based on the nature of the offense. The biggest rule of all is Have Fun! Creativity is encouraged. :)

Chatbox Rules

Please behave like an adult at all times.
Please be respectful of other members at all times even if they disagree with you.
Flaming, trolling, harassing, bashing, and antagonizing other members or staff is not allowed.
Do not start or participate in drama.
We follow the Golden Rule. If you can't be nice then please keep it to yourself.
Don't gossip about other members or talk negatively about other members.
Keep all conversations PG-13. Discussion about illegal activities or inappropriate subject matter such as drugs, underage drinking, hacking, self harm, suicide, abuse, religion, explicit sexuality, etc is not allowed.
Please follow instructions from staff members.
Cuss words are permitted. However these may not be used excessively or directed at people.
Typing in all caps is not permitted.
Don't beg for money, horses, or other items.
Don't make personal posts to other people that it their turn to do something (RP, play games, etc). That is what your mailbox is for.
Please do not flood the chatbox with emoticons or other nonsense.
Please use proper spelling and grammar. Text speak and chat speak are not allowed.
You have to be a member for 1 day before you can use the chatbox.
Advertising, promotion, or discussion of other games, websites, products or services is not allowed.
Chat transcripts are retained for a period of time. Even if your post falls off the screen, we can still see it.

Community Conduct Rules

Do not start threads gossiping about or backbiting other members. Just because they are not forum members does not mean they can't see what you're typing.
If you have a problem with a game member do not start threads about it, instead PM a Mod or use the Report Abuse link at the bottom of every page in the game.
Do not start, entice, or perpetuate flame wars. Do not troll for drama. If you want to debate something then do so in the Snark Factory. However, debating and flaming/trolling are two different things. Debates should be done in an adult manner. Bickering, sniping, and being dramatic at each other will just get your thread locked. If there is a disagreement, do not pile on like a pack of wolves. That alienates people and hurts feelings. The disagreement is between two people and no one else.
Do not tear other members down. Have respect for your fellow game members. If you feel the need to make a negative comment towards someone, it is better to take the high road and keep that commentary to yourself.
Additionally, we have a new site rule: No discussion or commentary regarding the topics of Religion or Slaughter are allowed. Religious horse names and art themes are ok.
If a Mod asks you guys to stop doing something, then stop. Don't argue. Failure to follow Mod instructions will result in an auto temp ban. Repeat offending will result in permanent banning.
Please don't make forum thread subjects in all caps. It's a bit obnoxious and there is no need to yell.
Don't bump threads.
Don't make threads asking for someone to read their PMs or empty their mailbox. That sort of stuff clutters the board and nobody wants to spend time clicking on it. If you can't get in touch with them on the forum, then feel free to send them some game mail.
Don't make rants about other online sims or online games. Don't make rants about Horse Eden.
We discourage chatspeak, textspeak, babytalk, etc. Please use proper spelling and grammar.
Members may not makes posts for other members.
Begging for eden bucks, horses, loans, etc is not permitted.
Don't make "leaving" posts to let people know you are leaving. Feel free to PM individuals that you want to let know.
Don't make threads to advertise other threads. One thread is enough. :)

This consists of multiple people ganging up on someone because of a disagreement of some kind, and blocking them from game resources such as art shops/auctions/breeding ads/etc. If you are caught being involved in this type of activity you will be banned from the forum permanently.
