Is that the right number? I checked her out and she's over the Rainbow Bridge. Yes, one of the reasons I was interested in working with a solid color line first was to more easily avoid patterns. I thought I could work in Pearl/cream/silver later. I mean, when I started I had no other plan than getting all the pretty horses but I've really refined my vision. Much thanks to all of you as well, even before I found this forum I was looking at your stables.

Ok, so in my planning for RO 148, I wanted to see what you all thought of the possible options for her. She's currently really the best and best producing mare in my stable, so I want to make solid choices, especially at first. Here is what I found, and I would appreciate any insight: |

One more match I want to make a good choice. My mentor helped me with this lovely mare, and helped me choose a stud that matches really well with her strengths and weaknesses: But, then I discovered Silvers... So I was thinking maybe this match instead this time? Or in the next month, I certainly have time to do both at some point. |

Well, the good news is that none of the stallions you chose are SbSb, so you have a 3/4 chance of not getting a patterned horse with any of those patterned matches. You won't be able to use Gatsby, because his minimum rating is EEW. If you want to save that straw, I would wait to use it (possibly with that girl) until you can buy a glass. For that match, I would possibly throw a strength glass in there. If you want to do one of the first two boyos, I would go with Panic Station. I have gotten an EEW filly out of him, and he has no pattern and carries creme. |

Match help... she turns 3 and I am not sure if I should wait another month or do a test breed. My goal for her would be to improve ratings and/or get closer to all black or silver colorings. She's not AA, so I don't think her foals will be AA, so she's tentatively up for auction consideration as well. Yes, a SH is basically just the mut of the horse world and will produce only SH foals. I don't have any SH. You can, however, breed any TB to any AA and will always get an AA, so that's something to think about :D |

This little dude is now old enough to breed! He's training up fairly quickly and has a decent pedigree. What is a fair price to put as a stud fee for an unproven youngster? PS I wasn't quite ready for the surprise when all my babies grew up and got their adult horsie picture! LOL. It was just a shock to pull them up and not see the cute little foal trotting off to the left anymore. |

Right! I love when they grow up. It's like Christmas :D. I would say that probably 2-3k would be fair for public breeding. I usually put my EEW combo boys up to the club for 1k. |
