I mean to first try it on a club compliance basis without the registration and tally sheet part. If people exploit it shamelessly, you still can report/caution/dismiss them or make stricter rules. But this is a club for breeding bravery with (hopefully) like-minded members, so excluding public could already do the job.
The fact that I don't support the idea doesn't mean that I'm keen on breaking the rules. 😉 |

I think it's a great idea, if people are fine going off the honor system rather than registering I don't mind not having it but I also think it could prevent any disputes that might come up. |

Thank you all for your input. Here's what I've decided. I am making it a club rule that members must respect any bravery breeding requirments posted in the horse remarks on a horse's page (regardless of whether the horse is up for the club only, the general public, or public with a club discount). Please keep in mind that I cannot enforce this on non-members if your horse is up for the general public. There will be a three strike system, so if you make an honest mistake it won't be the end of the world. Owners must report to me if they want action taken; I will not be "patrolling." For now I will NOT require any sort of pre-registration. If I have too many he said/she said issues this could change at a later date. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please let me know. |
